Moreover, aluminum wire or copper clad aluminum wire are now used to wind the motor, which causes faster temperature rise. It is possible that the thermostat has not been disconnected yet and the motor coil has been burned out.

Under fault conditions such as short circuit, overcurrent, over temperature, and motor stall, the PPTC device can quickly change from low resistance state to high resistance state compared to dual metal temperature controllers under the dual action of high current and high temperature rise, and can timely limit the current of the motor to protect the motor and equipment system. And maintain this protective state all the time, only after power outage will the self restoring fuse recover from high resistance state to low resistance state.
