  Fingerprint door lock is a widely used door lock product in modern homes, factories, and enterprises. Its main functions include fingerprint recognition, storage, and opening and closing door locks. It is composed of fingerprint recognition and storage circuits, DSP data processing circuits, door opening and closing actuators, power circuits, and other components. Some door locks also require output signals to control the camera, open voice communication connections, and complete remote control functions. In this system, the power circuit, data transmission port circuit, and electromagnetic actuator of the control lock are prone to burning out the power circuit and DSP control system circuit due to unstable power supply voltage, lightning discharge, short circuit of installation wiring, etc. In severe cases, safety hazards such as burning out wires and causing wires to catch fire may occur. These interface points all require the design of ESD, overvoltage, overcurrent, and reverse connection protection circuits, To ensure its reliability and stability.

  Among numerous overload protection methods, many engineers use positive temperature coefficient thermistors (also known as self recovery fuses) for overload protection and short circuit protection of fingerprint lock circuits, which eliminates the aforementioned problems. The self recovery fuse device can complete both overcurrent and temperature protection at the same time, and will maintain this protection state until the power supply is turned off before restoring to the initial state.

  The use of self-healing fuse devices for overcurrent protection and overheating protection of fingerprint door locks is a cost-effective protection solution. Under fault conditions such as short circuit, overcurrent, and over temperature, the self recovery fuse device can quickly transition from a low resistance state to a high resistance state under the dual action of high current and high temperature rise. It can timely limit the current of the circuit to protect the equipment system and maintain this protection state. Only after a power outage, the self restoring fuse device will recover from a high resistance state to a low resistance state. Continuous self restoring of the fuse will not restore, which can effectively avoid potential problems and safety hazards.
